Hi, My name is Patty Hamm and I live in Eastern Ky, about 9 miles east of Morehead.
Morehead is about 65 miles east of Lexington. I have a fenced in yard for my Papillons
to play in. My papillons live with me in my house not in a kennel along with my 14 year
old Cocker Spaniel Molly,( Molly died in Nov, 2006). All of my Papillons are AKC
registered, 4 of them are UKC registered also. They are taken to the vet on a regular
basis, have their vaccinations up to date. I feed a dry Kibble along with a good quality
of canned food, and they also get raw and cooked veggies such as broccoli, carrots,
cauliflower ,
I am currently showing two of my Papillons in conformation .
After watching Kirby " Loteki Super Natural Being " show and win the Westminster
Kennel Club Show in 1999.
I was determined to obtain one of these marvelous and beautiful wee ones. I spent the
next 3 years reading everything I could get my hands on about papillons and
searching the Internet trying to find someone that would talk to me about them.I finally
say an ad in the paper about Papillon puppies for Sale, I called the number and was
told that there would be a waiting list because I wanted a female. I waited for over a
year and finally my dream came true. I obtained my first papillon in the summer of
2003, that is Gabryelle, 6 months later I saw an ad in the paper and decided I wanted
another one, this time a tricolor male that I named Oliver. Oliver has since been
neutered.
Then in 2005 I decided that I wanted to show in conformation so I contacted a breeder
in Ohio after trying several different well-named breeders whom either would not
return my e-mails or simply told me they would have no puppies to sell me.
I was on the web -site of a breeder and saw where she had a puppy that was ready to
show for sale, I e-mailed her immediately but was too late it had already been sold, but
was told that she had a litter born that same day and would I be interested. I e-mailed
her back and told her yes to please tell me more.
So is the beginning of my life with Pixiedust Chance of a Lifetime. I have gone to
conformation classes and attended dog shows this past year. Chance is now 2 shows
shy of having his Championship. I owe this all to my family and God for creating such
a beautiful boy to share with me. I also adopted Ollie at this time, she is such a dear
heart .
I breed with the intentions of raising show papillons and according to the breed
standard.
All of my dogs are raised in the house, No Kennel, They are crate trained . doggy door
trained. My Paps are my pets first and foremost.
